As the lead vocalist of the band Toranja, he gained prominence with the 2003 debut album “Esquissos,” which sold over 60,000 copies and featured the award-winning track “Carta.” After the band’s hiatus in 2006, he embarked on a solo career, recording his first solo album, “O Jardim,” in Canada with producer Howard Bilerman.
